Hi, I’m Georbina DaRosa.
As a first-generation Black therapist with a passion for working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, I know that healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. It’s messy, hard, and sometimes requires real and raw conversations. That’s why I’m all about keeping it real—being genuine, honest, and, most importantly, being there for you, no matter what you’re going through.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a birth and postpartum doula, supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most transformative and vulnerable moments. That experience, combined with my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, shaped my dedication to maternal wellness, mental health challenges, and trauma work.
Today, I provide therapy for individuals and couples, meeting you where you are with compassion, humor, and authenticity. I’m here to guide you through the tough stuff and walk with you as you embrace your most authentic self and move toward healing.
G Therapy is more than just a space to talk—it’s a space to be real, to find empowerment, and to deeply heal.
BEYOND THE THERAPY CHAIR
Currently in my own psychoanalysis.
Completing a 2-year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training at the Contemporary Freudian Society Institute—because I believe the best therapists never stop learning.
Supervised by the brilliant Somaly NOU, LCSW.
G’s Approach
COME AS YOU ARE—authentic, messy, and unapologetically YOU. There’s no need to change or mask anything during our work together. My approach is about meeting you where you’re at and creating a space where you can truly be yourself.
real therapy
Therapy that goes beyond surface-level conversations. It’s about digging deep, confronting the root of your struggles, and addressing patterns and emotions that are holding you back.
real Healing
Healing that isn’t about quick fixes or band-aid solutions. Real healing requires sitting with your pain, processing unresolved emotions, and finding peace with your past. It’s a transformative process that helps you release old wounds, break harmful cycles, and build a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
real Results
Real results mean more than temporary relief—it’s about creating a life where you feel confident, empowered, and in control. It’s about healthier relationships, greater emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of self, giving you the tools to thrive long after therapy ends.
